The owners are so sweet & you felt like you were coming to visit your own family. They were incredibly helpful with everything and I would definitely recommend this place!

The place feels like home. The owners made an hostel in their home without neglecting all the services backpackers need. The location is safe and close to the park. It s not a party hostel at all but if tranquility, cleanliness, warmth and a nice place is what you need, don t look any further...

The staff was very helpful and gave us great advises about the city and the country in general. Great place to stay when you first arrive in costa rica or are about to leave it. The staff helps you with pretty much everything. Its also very clean and they have good matresses.

We loved our stay at Nomadas, we came back 2 times because we liked it so much. It´s clean, close to everything you need and there is a piano. They helped us really well with planning our trip trough Costa Rica and we felt at home right away. If you go to San Jose we would definitely recommend staying at this hostel!

It was through an article published in the Tico Times that made it to the internet where I found Nomadas guesthouse. It was a good article and the author gave Nomadas a great review, so my wife and I decided to stay there. Not your typical backpackers, we were on business and needed a place to stay close to downtown but wanted to stay in a good neighbourhood and that’s exactly what we found staying at Nomadas. In my past I had backpacked many countries and always loved the ambiance of the typical guesthouse, where people from different countries come to stay, chill, decompress, make further plans and then move on to their next destination. I have always found interesting travelers of all ages staying at guesthouses and love to hear their stories of where they have been and what they will do next; everybody has a story! I was truly right at home at Nomadas and was not disappointed in the least, as I found there were great people staying there too. Most of all where the cute couple, Gabriel González and Magdalena López, who live at and run Nomadas guesthouse. We found them to be very helpful and they definitely go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Gabriel even took us to the local market to show us around and find much better prices on all things as compared to the local super markets where the prices there can be even more expensive than that of the United States and Canada on simple food items. At the local market however we found many fantastic deals and ended up buying a week’s worth of groceries. While staying at Nomadas they were always making improvements on the guesthouse i.e. setting up more bedrooms, making extra tables, hand making curtains etc. All and all Nomadas is a great place and perfectly located in a quiet neighbourhood not that far from the massive La Sabina Park, a great place to play sports, take a jog or just take a nice stroll through. It’s also close to the National Stadium just recently built. There is no doubt that we will stay there again on my future returns to central valley of lovely Costa Rica!

(1) the owner clean ur blanket and sheet every day even tho u stay the same bed they make ur bed every day morning (2) U can leave your luggage there while u travel to other cities in Costa Rica. (3) They will give u valuable info about how to take bus to travel. ( they don't have relationship with tour agency, no commission, but they do have tour info) (4) shower facility is well-equiped and very clean.

Gabriel and his wife who run this place are so wonderful, friendly, and hospitable. They absolutely made me feel at home, offered extensive help for getting around the city and my further travels, and my other needs as they arose. I was visiting CIMA Hospital for some medical tourism, and this location is perfect for it, only a quick bus or taxi ride away to the hospital (and the upscale Escazu shopping area and Multiplaza). The dorm room was clean and tidy. Finally, the showers and bathroom was clean, new, and offered reasonable hot water.

I have seen some hostels and have to admit, the owners of Nomadas are the friendliest hosts I have ever seen. As San Jose is a city where a total of watch is announced, is to be able to rely on the chance someone was very important to me. In addition, there was no hacking or any attempts to turn something. I have before the arrival still thinks about going somewhere else and rent a single room but at the moment when I arrived I realized that I do not find anything for the price. Non-Commercial, fully relaxed environment. The two have previously had a hotel in Jungle and get loads of people everywhere in Costa Rica, can also provide insider tips pair.

This is literally the best hostel I have ever stayed at. The owners did everything they could to make my stay comfortable. The owners have no receptionist or staff, they and their two young children run everything. THEY WERE THE BEST. They helped me catch the right buses, made sure I got fed and stayed up late to chat over a cup of coffee. If you are going to San Jose, you cannot find a better place to stay.

Nomadas is a wonderful hostel. Very tranquilo-- I felt absolutely at home! It is located in a safe neighborhood, really close to a supermarket, although it's so relaxing inside you may not want to leave.

Nomadas is the best place I've stayed at on my trip. This is like coming home. The hospitality couldn't have been better, and everything is nice and clean. I will highly recommend it to everyone.

The residential neighbourhood is safe and the home is close to many amenities like supermarkets, cafes and public transit. It is very clean, has nice showers, comfortable beds and a very nice common area. We arrived on an early bus to be greeted very warmly - owners are very hospitable. Would stay here again!
